VINES

Annual vines can be used in a variety of ways. They are effective when used in containers, topiary frames, window boxes, trellises, and hanging baskets, or planted in the ground to climb vertically upon arbors, pergolas, walls or trees. Think about companion planting annual vines with spring-flowering perennial vines such as roses and clematis to extend the vertical blooming season in the garden. As the perennial vines finish their blooming, the annual vines will just be starting and will provide color through the remainder of the season.
